Drentse Knieperties


In Drenthe (the eastern part of the Netherlands) we eat Knieperties on 31 December.

Ingredients: 1000gr flower, 500gr granulated sugar, 300gr caster sugar, 250gr melted butter, 6 eggs, 2 tea spoons cinnamon



Mix sugar, cinnamon and butter, mix with eggs and finally mix with flower.

Shape into little balls of about 10-15 gram

Bake in “kniepertiesijzer” for about 2 minutes or until golden brown
